More Fan Photos From Swatch

  

Two months ago I posted some of my favorite fan photos from Swatch's Facebook album "Swatch Fan Pictures on Instagr.am". The fans have impressed me so much with their creativity that I decided to share some more of my favorite photos (photographed above). The company has been posting their top three favorite pictures from their fans on instagram weekly. Swatch has given their fans a chance to show their creative side! The company has been posting their top three favorite pictures from their fans on instagram weekly. Above are some of my favorite from the photographs selected to be in  Swatch's Facebook album. To participate you download the instagram on your phone and tag your picture #swatch, then wait for the end of the week to see if your photo makes the top three. It is very interesting to not only see the different Swatch watches, but also how their fans wear them and use them as a prop in a photograph. 

Striped Swatch's

 

Swatch has recently introduced new designs for the Swatch Orginial Gent Collection, their well-known collection for its classic design and plastic casing.The new striped watches are great for your summer beach outings as they are lightweight and water-resistant. To help kickoff the launch of their new Animal Collection, Swatch celebrated April 1st, AKA April Fool's Day, as Zebra Day. The celebration took place in major cities around the globe and produced some terrific photos and videos, which you can check out here. Meet the Ladies from Swatch

 
The above beauties make up the latest collection from Swatch and are aptly named, The Lady Collection. The pieces have long, slim silicone straps that wrap twice around the wrist and come in such whimsically named colors as Limetta, Delight Dream, Miss Cassis and Cool Breeze. Keeping track of the time in this fast-paced day and age can be quite stressful, but with one of these exquisite ladies on your wrist, it all becomes a bit more bearable.

Swatch Group's Strong Performance in 2010

2010 proved to be an exceptionally strong year for Swatch Group, despite unfavorable currency rates. Net income for the company rose 41.5 percent last year and "gross sales totaled 6.44 billion Swiss francs, or $6.19 billion, up 18.8 percent in organic terms versus 2009 and up 8 percent compared with 2008, its previous record year," as reported by Women's Wear Daily this morning.

Following a successful 2010, January 2011 brought strong performance, as well, and Swatch Group feels positively about the remainder of 2011, even with continued currency headaches. As Reuters reports, the strength of the current Swiss franc may lead to increased prices in order to battle the weaker euro and U.S. dollar.

The New Gent from Swatch

 
Swatch has recently introduced the Swatch New Gent Collection, a contemporary spin on the original Gent Collection, which is well-known for its classic design and plastic casing. This latest collection is comprised of a great array of cool colors and the watches also have slightly larger dials. The contrast of colors on the dials is a nice touch, and I am particularly fond of the chartreuse and olive green combo.

A Colorful Collaboration

       

Swatch has teamed up with professional snowboarder, Anne-Flore Marxer, from Switzerland to create a signature line for the watch company. The clean design of the watches along with the bright, bold color schemes bring to mind the watches I wore as a child in the '80s, so obviously I want all of them. On top of how fresh the watches are, with names like "Cliff Drop" and "Dance Time," they automatically infuse an element of energy, something I could definitely use more of these days.

Sophisticated Style: Swatch & Art

 

Swatch has teamed up with well-known artists and fashion designers to create the distinct Swatch & Art collection. The pieces above from Ivan Navarro, Cassette Playa and Manish Arora offer a snapshot of each label or artist's personal style, from sci-fi inspired fluorescents to playful Indian pop-art. Swatch Group Goes Big in Shanghai

The Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai houses the flagships for four of Swatch Group's timepiece brands, including Swatch and Omega. The new stores opened Wednesday and are located on the ground floor of a complex that will include a hotel, ateliers for artists and a restaruant on the top floor, all of which open in August, according to an article in today's Women's Wear Daily. The Swatch space is massive with 7,000 square feet of retail space and the Omega store is the 11th for the brand in China. The Swatch Art Peace Hotel is in the revamped 1908 Palace Hotel in the historical Bund waterfront.
